ok there is a sound coming from outside my window, I cant tell if its a cat meowing in pain or a kid whining, but its way too late in the night for either and it's creeping me out. I'm gonna go into my room and shut the door and hopefully drown out the sound. Way too freaked out to actually go outside at 12.30 in the morning to investigate(yes deep inside I'm just a scared lil girl)...
EDIT: Sorry it wasnt DIRECTLY outside my window, it was like a house down, but I could hear it through the window (where the computer is situated). Originally, I thought it was my sister being an idiot, she's always making weird loud nosies when she's bored (it will drive you insane), but I went to her room and found her sleeping, so that got me freaking out a lil. and then as soon as I went to bed (super tired by the way) my neighbour's dog started barking, wth?!

Either way, a kid or not, i would have went out. (Im definatly the biggest chicken when it comes to the dark)But i would have taken a torch and searched! Or just looked out the window. Were you afraid a thing might pop up and scare u to death?
U know what i did last time a cat came every night and meowed at my window? I went to the bathroom where the window is big and just started taking photos of what was outside. Hah! It was a black and gold cat! (Ugly might i add) It kept making weird noises every night but my sister would make ways to let it stay. Such an idiot. Im not so fond of cats as you can probably tell. I like playing with them or touching them expecially kittens, but keeping them I don't do. I want a puppy ^^, Sister wants a kitten -_-" Of course i win this debate. If we get any animals, its gona be a dog, and everyone in the family agrees anyway. Huh! Sister has also succumed to my doings too heh.heh.heh.*snicker*
But next time you hear a noise, I say INVESTIGATE! mwahahahha!!! Its fun! Just like a detective! (but remember to bring a protective hat, torch, baseball bat, crow bar and maybe some matches if things get tough ^^)

if i hear freaky noise of a cat or whateva it was- i ignore it and don't go outside- it'll go away by morinin.
or if the light was on out of the blue in one of the rooms of the house- than i get a weapon say a glass beer bottle and then i creep to the door slowly and steady-hid myself from the door and i open the door and check if they're on on the walls , behind the door or under any furniture or on the ceilings.
i did that once- i had to do it for my sis and her hubby- they're big skiny chooks! too weak and frail to fight- so i was their warrior but then there wasn't any danger.
