Could I be more of a clutz?

I totally fell on me (excuse the language) bum bum this morning. The train ride was so nice and smooth and oh so warm, the whole time I was drifting in and out of a daze, listening to my music. So when the train was nearing my stop I got up (I was on the top deck of the train) and headed for the stairs down, I totally miss the second step down, fell back onto my backside and pretty much "bounced" the rest of the way down. I finally stopped on the very last step, legs all spread wide on the ground, me still in a daze. Man it was EMBARRASSING! yet funny. Everyone saw me fall and watched as I bounced down the stairs, all wide eyed and jaw dropped. I'm still laughing at the situation actually. The lady who was standing at the door asked if I was alright, everyone else was still speechless. hahaha. oh and those caring enough to wonder, I'm A-OK ^_^)=b

...and then I jammed my finger into the pie warmer TWICE today at work while opening it. d'oh!

I bought my Sweeney Todd movie book today!!! I'm so psyched to read it. I think only Jenn and my sister knows this, but I'm really into the behind the scenes stuff, that's really the only reason why I buy dvds, for the special features. I love knowing what goes on during the making of films, how stories come about and other trivial things. Plus I totally loved the Tim Burton (for Annie- the director guy :P) film Sweeney Todd. So I had to have this book. Cant wait to read it (I know I'm lazy at reading novels, but when its reference books on the things I love, I read it cover to cover (same goes with manuals too, I love knowing the full extent of what a product can do)).

Oh and I saw this through the windows of a Salvo's store....It's a BERT toy! My favourite Sesame street character. Too bad its a second hand toy (dont know where he's been) but I'm happy I saw it, I rarely see Bert plushies, they're always Elmo or Grover *eye rolling*.

In other news, My interview with William Blue is tomorrow and I still have to find my HSC results (It was so bad that I hid it and now I have no idea where it is :S)...

Well that's it for tonight, til next time. Peace!

Friday night:Catherine's Birthday Dinner

There's the birthday girl, she doesnt look a day over 18 :D. oh wait...did I say that wrong?

Milly and I caught the train together to Cath's dinner. Who knew the city would look so different at night? We both go lost, well confused really when we got out of the train station. All the signs we went past said "Pitt St this way" we followed the signs and we ended up on George st (unknowingly at the time). What the heck? Rang Catherine for directions, though that was complicated when we were both "opposite the Hilon Hotel", so why couldnt we see each other? and why on earth does the city have a McDonald's on EVERY STREET?! Milly and I took turns calling Catherine, So funny when Milly called there would be all this noise -traffic, sirens, even a man playing the bag pipes (who knew those things were THAT loud), so funny. We did eventually find Catherine who was shocked to how we couldnt find our way (the signs did say "this way" gah! never trust signs again (oh and it turns out we went out on the wrong side of the train station)).

Followed Catherine to this Japanese/Korean restaurant where we'd meet Catherine's new friends (since she left us old ones :P). Me and Millz didnt exactly mingle with Cath's new buddies, though it was kinda hard when you have no idea what they're on about. but they did seem like a great bunch of people, maybe we just needed a lil more time to get to know each other.

Stupidly I ate before I came to Catherine's dinner, I know, stupid stupid STUPID but I hadnt eaten all day and all I bought was a Cheese and Bacon roll. So come dinner time I couldnt finsh my food, wah! so wasteful, I had so much left, I felt so bad :S. After dinner was over we parted ways, Cath and two of her friends were maybe heading to a bar (and now that I know Catherine reads my blogs- send me photos if you got drunk of your face that night :P). Milly and I decided to wonder about the city a lil more before we headed home. Milly bought some Starburst lollies (she doesnt admit, but I say she's addicted to those things :P) I bought a Kinder Surprise chocolate, $2.50 it was, so darn expensive but I wanted it! they had a Simpsons toy in em, I got Lisa (I wanted Marge and Maggie though, d'oh!).

Side note- Im beginning to like buying Blind toy boxes (the sort where you dont know what you'll get until you buy it and open it) so that may explain why I bought the Kinder Surprise (I didnt really want the chocolate). Too bad there aint a lot of places (that I know of) who sells the sort that I want. I bought a few from Supanova (photos on my Myspace). I could always buy them off the interweb but its not fun when someone else does the random picking for you.

So anyways, Milly and I took some Capitol photos and then headed to the train station, where those tv screens that display how long it would be till the next train came was on the fritz. We had no idea how long we'd be waiting for our train (first it said it was 38mins, then 44mins, then 3mins and then 13mins. which is it?!). But the train did arrive sooner than we expected so all was good. Milly's dad drove Milly home from the train station while my mum, my aunt and my lil sister walked all the way to the train station to pick me up (aw...).

It's not a Zune, But It'll Do..for now

My current MP3 player is dying...I cant delete songs on the device, I cant turn it off, I cant fast forward or rewind songs. So I went out and bought a new one and it looks exactly like...this: Unfortunately it's only 4GBs (I have like 4x that amount of songs on my computer) but it was on sale and it was the only one I could afford right now. Plus I had my eye on this for a while, just it didnt exactly cater all my needs in which I'd like a music device to do (like be able to play my Man Of The Hour podcasts!), but I'm not complaining. I love it.

In Other news: My Aunt is arriving tomorrow, Yay! In more News: I have to wake up super duper early to pick her up. Boo... :(

For my buddy Jenn

I know you've been thinking about it. ;P

Tuesday, June 24

They got my application!

It's been a busy couple of days, working, waking up early (hate waking up early plus it being so darn cold!). So today being my day off, I decided I was going to snooze in. Around 7am everyone in my family is up shouting at each other "hurry up! I'm going to be late!" blah blah blah. I lay there waiting for them to all leave so that I could go back to sleep. My brother is the last person to leave at 8.30, finally! Back to dream land. and then 2mins later the phone rings... argh! I lay there debating whether I should let it ring or get up (I was so warm in my blankets), I decided I'd better get up, might be important. As soon as I got to the phone and picked it up, it had stopped ringing..dammit, now I'm up, cant go back to sleep. I looked at the caller ID, didnt recognise the number and thought.. they'll probably call back.

About half an hour ago, the phone rings again, same caller ID. Turns out it was William Blue College calling! They recieved my application (the application I sent a month ago) and was calling to make an appointment, I'm going to have an interview with the Head of College next Tuesday. I guess I wont be snoozing in :S

Supanova 3rd and Final Day :(

Photos from Supanova.

***Gloria Jeans (Olympic Park)- Jenn and I bought Hot Chocolate to keep ourselves warm. It was too cold at 8am in the morning***
***Ground Floor, Showroom(Look SONIC!!)***
***Inside JB Hi-Fi Seminar Room. Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek) is the guest speaker. Jenn and I were working in that room from 11.45 to approx 2pm. (The old guy in the striped T-shirt gave me lip when I told him to stay behind the mark lines, I felt like telling him off, how fracking rude!
***Inside JB-Hi-Fi seminar room after everyone had cleared out***
***Show room view from JB Hi-fi Seminar Room***
***There's Jenn looking down on the people in the showroom***
***Jared Padelecki. unfortunately, the girls who were suppose to take over mine and Jenn's shifts at 1.30 (when Jared's Q&A session started) didnt show, so I couldnt get a photo of Jared or see his face, I was so bummed out, I was looking forward to it, like sitting in the crowd and listening in, but no I was still stuck up at the JB hi-Fi seminar room telling people that they couldnt go in***
***I bought a Bleach Hat, I have no idea what the character's name is, but I saw this guy in the cosplay costume on Friday night, and then constantly kept seeing him throughout the weekend, When I finally saw the hat on sale, I had to have it (its called subliminal advertising)***
***Knuckle Bear- Ah! I thought this was so fracking NEAT!!! but it was $300***
***oh My gosh, this stall had me hooked!! I loved this stall, I loved it so much I spent nearly $200 at this stall alone @@ (I'm pretty sure the guy running the stall was the same chatty guy who works at Myers,When Milly, Annie and I went shopping last week. Though He was a cool guy, he recognised me and Jenn from the day before (we constantly go back to this stall) and gave me a slight discount on my Tokidoki poster^^)***
***That section is the Volunteer area***
***Foyer of Supanova (through the doors is the showroom)***
***Going Home-Supanova light Sign***
***Outside the Dome, Olympic park***
***and Me in my Supanova volunteer shirt and badge
I'm a lil sad that its over, I had fun, I definitely am going again next year, I'm not sure if I wanna volunteer again, but Supanova had great stalls, even if they were waaaaaaaaay expensive. Maybe next year more of the Heroes cast will be there. I had a blast, I loved evey minute of it, even if some of the guest speakers were dead boring, or that our feet were killing from standing too long, or the fact we had to wake up at 6am and arrived late home for the past two day, I still had a fun time, and I dont regret going one bit. and Jenn, having her around just made it better, so much stupidity, laughter, eating of the junk food kind, whining, it was all around fun, double thumbs up.
***I posted some photos of the toys I bought from Supanova on my myspace***

Supanova Day1 & 2

So Jenn and I have been volunteering at Supanova for the past two days. Instead of telling you in detail, I'll just tell you through pictures, I'm way too tired right now to put it in detail.

DAY1
***Olympic Park, Supanova sign***

***We had to pack showbags (that would be given to the patrons when they enter), see that? now imagine 8000 more*** ***Stuff that was to go in the showbags(pamphlets, stickers, program guide, comics and other junk)***
***More stuff to go in showbags***
***Schick Shaving Cream, they had like a truck load of the stuff to put in the bags***
***Centre of the Dome, Olympic Park***

DAY2
***This is Jenn cold and sleepy (we had to wake at 6am this morn, we got home like around 10 last night)***
***The showroom from the JB HIFI seminar room (before doors open for public). Jenn and I were working up stairs, showing people to their seats and stuff during the seminars (Had like Sci-fi celebs talking, tomorrow JARED PADELECKI!!!)***

***Check it out, I got a TOKIDOKI fan!!! for FREE***
***New TOKIDOKI toys!! unfortunately these weren't free, nor on discount :( spent $80 on them, but I LUURVE em!!***
***Volunteer Area, it was kinda empty then, everyone was out "volunteering"***
***Jenn and her new Gloomy Bear Toy, she loves that big plastic bear^^***
***Me and MY Gloomy Bear Toy!!***
***More of my Gloomy Bear, its covered in chocolate!!!***
***My photo ID, I look so ugly***
One more day of volunteering, another early morning (6am wake up call) and then back to normal life. I'll continue blogging tomorrow. Last day :( . Feet are so sore right now from standing around in the seminar rooms, listening to guest celeb speakers I've never heard of, oh but I did know Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols, She spoke about HEROES! and stories from her Star Trek Days. Tomorrow, Jared Padelecki (Dude from Supernatural) is going to have a Q&A, I'm so there!! I missed out on the photos today, even though I didnt have the SUPER pass anyways to get a picture, I still did want to at least SEE him, but yeah there's tomorrow. Peace everyone.

Breathing in other people's breaths..erk!

Ow...More pain. I'll get used to it eventually. Today was so much better, though I did have a wobbly start (might have charged someone $1 less than it actually was, and then gave them even lesser change that I should have, oops). After that I got used to it, I could even kinda handle the lunch rush, so proud of myself. I also got to wear a uniform today! Felt more a part of the team ^^ (No name tag yet, in time hopefully). I had fun, chatted to the manager's sister, she's cool. They had music playing (they rock!) they had old Simple Plan music playing (they so totally ROCK!) yay! Everyone was nice, so I felt more welcome, it's a family business, so far I think I'm the only one (besides the yr 9 girl up at Thornleigh) that's actually working FOR them, but its cool.

I like this shop so much better, the people in this area are so much nicer to serve, compared to those retired folk at Thornleigh (what was their problem?) and there's a music store just up stairs with an official Ticketek dealer (Boo ya!).

I hate going home when the trains are totally packed, I was breathing in some guy's carbon dioxide! so gross, I couldnt move, I couldnt breath, but it wasnt too bad, but you know, just hate going home at that hour, when EVERYONE else is going home too.

Ok I'm gonna eat! (starving!) and then maybe head off to bed (working tomorrow). This is gonna be my last blog on work I hope, I dont want it to be like a list of things I did at work, such a bore. Peace everyone.

New Toy!!

"Mad Barbarians, creators of an evil empire of toys, set forth Capee: an amorphous character with a lot of swing in his step."

My Capee came today!! or maybe it was yesterday, I'm not quite sure, I found the big package hiding in the corner of my front porch while I was heading out this morning, either way, it's here!!! and it comes in a PINK box! Boo ya!

Mean Post Office Lady

I bought a cheap phone for T.N to bring on Saturday (he's going to Supanova with me and Jenn), I bought it at the post office and this old post office lady with big blonde hair and obviously too much make up on was serving me.

Me: hi, I'd like to buy the Motorrola K1 mobile phone if you have any left
Post office Woman: Which one?
Me: The Motorola K1
Post Office Woman: Yeah but which one?
Me: er..the K1 one...?
Post Office Woman: *frustrated* which one?!
Me: *I was damn confused* (Are you kidding me lady?! I just told you which one!)
Post Office Woman: Which carrier?
Me: oh, Optus
Post Office Woman: *annoyed tone* Thank you. *walks off to get phone*
Me: *sticking out tounge*

Geeze, she could have said earlier! *mocking whiny old lady voice* "which one?! Which one?!" blah!

I'm in pain

First day of my new job is over....and my feet are totally killing! I've only been working for four hours, but my legs and feet are so sore. So first day was...erm, ok I guess. My new manager sms-ed me this morning around 7am told me plan had changed, I had to meet him at his other shop in Thornleigh (where the hell is Thornleigh?!), I didnt read the message til 9.30 and I had no idea where the shop was. I did eventually find it. Met with my new manager, cool guy, very friendly, younger than I thought, he did sound young over the phone but there was also an old guy there and I automatically assumed it was the old guy (oops). Lots of fumbling with the food (dang tongs!). I'm ok with dealing with customers and all (I dont prefer it but I can deal) but having to memorise all the prices of the food in 20mins was gonna be hard. I annoyed the crap out of my co-workers (there were two, old guy and young girl) constantly asking for the prices and how to use the cash register, so shocking. Luckily I aint going to continue working there and go back to North Sydney as planned. Everyone was totally nice though, especially the old guy (he could speak Viet, who knew?). I had to serve a lot of oldies, and you'd think they were a patient bunch but they aint, gave me looks (blah!). Oh and I wore my old school shoes to work, thinking that was the policy, I get there and they're all wearing SNEAKERS, c'mon! If I knew, I would have worn my comfy pink Chucks. Well thats it for today. Until Next time, Peace! (havnt used that sign off in a while).

Sunday, June 15

A few things happening.

I'm sitting infront of my computer (listening to Motion City Soundtrack) deciding whether I should go to bed or not, but I'm not tired, but I should go...starting my two week trial with Michel's Pattisserie tomorrow (hopefully after two weeks I'll still have my job *fingers crossed*). I've got black ink all over my hands (darn printer), the sort that will take at least another day before it fully washes off. Just my luck. Who would want to be served cake by someone with black smudged ink on their hands? Yuck.

Later this week Jenn and I are going to be volunteering at Supanova for the three days the expo is on. Ironically neither of us have ever been to Supanova before, but it should be loads of fun (when I'm with Jenn there's never a dull moment.) I cant wait, should be pretty interesting. We get photo ID badges, pretty darn neat!

My aunt from Vietnam is coming here for three months, I cant wait. I love her! She's so funny. Love the accent too. She should be arriving here next Monday if everything goes according to plan. Hopefully I can go pick her up from the airport (that being her plane arrives way before I have to go to work). So excited. My mum needs someone to talk to other than me (she nags more than she talks really).

My new toy should be arriving this week too, cant wait for that to come, took me so long to get it.

It's going to be a busy week this week (finally!!).

"B1 and B2 will be waiting at the bus stop"

Went out with Annie and Milly today, havnt seen them in a while. Spent the whole day shopping,(taking advantage of the midyear stocktake sales ;). We chatted, made future plans, teased Annie, laughed, heaps of fun. I spent a butt load of money on nothing really. Luckily, I start my new job next week, so hopefully I'll earn all that money back. My feet are dying right now :S

Some Photos from today.

***Thats B1 and B2 in disguise waiting to get onto the bus***

***Lil Miss Celeb-wanna-be here called me a "paparazzi" wouldnt let me take a photo of her :(*** ***Annie and Milly (check out the man behind them, he moved so fast he's just a blur @@)******Milly and Annie on the bus home (Annie kinda looks like a munchkin in that beanie^^)***

Motion City Soundtrack Live (minus the crazy crowds)

Motion City Soundtrack [L-R]
Tony (drums)
Jesse (Moog/keyboard)
Matt (bass)
Justin (vocals, guitar)
Josh (Guitar)

Watched Motion City Soundtrack live today on DeepRockDrive.com at Jenn's house (because my Internet...kinda, totally SUCKS!). Totally lovin' Jenn for letting me invade her home, steal her laptop, waste her downloads, rock her house with loud music and most of all being there by my side enjoying (I hope) every minute of the experience with me (oh and suffering through my idiotic "woo"ings (as if they could hear me) and bad singing (ooh yeah I sang...kinda :S)).

The show was scheduled to start at 12pm in Australia (these are the times I'm happy that I aint in school or working ^^(oh wait, I'm always happy that I'm not back in school)). I got to Jenn's house around 11.10 with Hungry Jacks and 2 chocolate mousses (yeah... as you can tell, we're a healthy bunch of people...arent we?)

Before I go on, the whole concert is FREE, streamed LIVE and interactive. Fans could give shout outs that would appear on the numerous tv screens set up in front and around the band, choice of camera angles and vote on the setlist. People from all around the globe watched this show today (more than 30 countries we were told (someone was watching the show at 3am in their country, or was it 3pm?)

I was excited! I was counting down every minute til 12pm, and then 12pm came and they didnt play :( there was apparently a few technical website hitches. So 5mins went by, then 10, then 20, then 30, I was getting restless and annoyed, I wanted them to start playing! but you know, just watching them talk is cool too (they're a funny bunch of guys) so for 30-35mins we watched the guys read more of the shout outs and responded them and then! at around 12.35 they started playing! They started off with "Fell In Love Without You" (I played that track over and over when I got their new record Even If It Kills Me :D Loved it!). I got so excited, head banging as usual, smiling loads like an idiot (as usual). They were so AWESOME! All the feelings from the February show came back, felt so great....(Ok maybe NOT all the feelings, the adrenaline and the vibe from the crowd wasnt there, but it was good enough).

My favourite part of the show (besides ALL OF IT) was after the first (? or was it the second?) song. Justin was wiping off his sweat with this bright orange bath towel and exclaims sarcastically as he shows the full size of the towel to the audience "I'm sorry, I thought I requested the large orange towel. What the f***?!" and then Matt (MY fave member (I lurve Matty (barf all you like, I dont care)) comes out to his microphone and holds up a small white face towel "and I requested the big one" and quickly after realising he meant.. "I mean little one, crap! That's why I dont talk" ahahah! aw, so cute and so funny! so funny I broke out into laughter that the mousse I had just scooped into my mouth went down the WRONG tube and gave me one heck of a coughing fest/attack @@.

The whole show was great! Justin's voice was awesome, the guys were awesome (Matt was awesome *mind floating away*) there was a slight technical difficulty (again) just when they were about to play "Throw Down" (I was anticipating that song too, they didnt play it this year at Soundwave). After some tuning and swapping gear and instruments, they finally played the song and I was going nuts! I love that song! (actually I love all their songs) one of the first songs they ever wrote (side fact-this was before Matt and Tony, so the original recording of this song had their old bass player and drummer but they re-recorded the song with Matt and Tony for the I Am The Movie album). They ended the show (encore) with "Everything is Alright" (which is in my
Muxtape). I was singing along all happy like, but I knew the show was going to end right after that song. Luckily we stuck around a lil longer after the show had ended (i.e didnt close the window) because a couple of minutes later they showed the band back stage signing a wall, Matt's autograph looked totally neat (as in "cool") and Justin drew a picture of himself, that made his hair look like fire (to me anyways *singing* "I'm on fire! and now I think I'm ready to bust a move!" -Future Freaks Me Out).

Motion City were flipping AMAZING! They sounded fantastic! and the fact Deep Rock Drive made this possible was even awsomer. This was the closest live experience I could get for now, and it was an excellent substitute for sure, though I wouldnt replace actually going to the venue and actually seeing them live in the flesh, up close and personal. Lets hope they come back to Australia real soon, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be in the front row ;)

EDIT:When I find some photos from the show I'll post them up. Found some photos off the DeepRockDrive Flickr site.

***Band before the show, reading the Shout Out comments (notice white words on TV screens behind them)***
***Stage (look look! the orange towel I was talking about earlier is on the floor)***
***wide front shot of stage***
***Beardacus! I mean Justin!***

***Tony behind the drum set (he was wearing Pink Converse shoes ^^)***
Oh and next time I'm making Jenn memorise those lyrics *glare*, honestly the second time, I tell you in advance and still no effort tsk tsk tsk :P
