Back Online.

I'm finally back online! I'm sure no one misses me after two days but I'd like to think somone does ;). Anyways, been an annoying two days trying to get connected to the internet, I'm not going to bore anyone with the details just at one point I felt like throwing the computer out the window. heh. I dont want to point blame but it was ENTIRELY my brother's fault >:)

Some randomness: the other night I had a dream that I went to a free Jonas Brother's concert, what the heck? I dont even like the Jonas Brother's nor thought or heard about them in a while (lil sister is a fan) what the? (cant be bothered to find out the meaning).

Ok well I'm going to go Re-download everything and it's going to take a while with my crappy internet connection. Peace out.

Gosh darn it!

I have lost ALL my files! My music, photos, podcasts, videos, everything! My computer has gone back to DEFAULT settings. why?! Plus I've got no internet connection(nooo! How shall I comunicate with my friends now?! What? Telephone? Old fashion face-to-face meeting?! What are you on about?). So my blog about training for SMASH! and Animania today may or may not happen later. Until I fix everything. Peace out!

"Missed it by THAT much"- Maxwell Smart

Watched Get Smart with the girls today! We were sitting right at the back laughing our heads off (I think we were the only ones laughing so hard (except for the one old lady infront of me) everyone else was fairly quiet). It was fun. Catherine joined us (pretty rare, her going to uni and that). Yeah, I've been waiting for the film to come out since I knew they were actually MAKING one. Though Steve Carell was more Steve Carell than he was Maxwell Smart, which is a tad dissapointing, dont get me wrong, I love Steve Carell, but I was hoping for more of the classic Don Adam's Maxwell Smart humour. At least they tried to use some of the old...I dont want to say it.. "catch phrases" but yeah...like "would you believe...?" or "missed it by that much" but I think they only used the "The old [insert whatever situation the bad guy has gotten Max caught into] trick" once, that was always a favourite of mine. All in all a hilarious film. Next- Dark Knight. Oh I also drove Jenn home during my driving lesson, I think she's OK XD.

In other news: my Heroes season 1 came today! To my surprise it was in a SLIM CASE, I wanted the thicker cardboard flip over case. but oh well. Still yay! Heroes! I finally get to watch it all, I missed a few episodes when it was on tele. oh and MASI OKA (Hiro) was in Get Smart, That guy is funny! (Random side fact- he was a Digital Effects artist in the last three Star Wars movies, how cool is that?!).

In more news: Jenn and I are going to our Training session for Animania and SMASH! tomorrow. Problem is, they're both at the same time, gonna be a LONG day...

New Toy!

Brrm Brrm!!! My Zoomie came this morning!!! Another Kidrobot blindbox, I got Mo' (she's photographed above). I would have liked Nigel with the lil Anti-war sign but what are ya gonna do? I love her (she's got glasses! I like people (and/or things) who wear glasses;)(hey! they kinda look like J's glasses!)). She comes with her own lil driver's license too ^^. Now I just need her lil pink scooter and she's set (and a Peace Nigel would be great too;)).

I failed my driving test...I would have past if I hadnt gotten that ONE automatic FAIL! I got that one fail in the last 5mins of my driving test (you can imagine how bummed out I am right now) darn it...Another 6 weeks til my next test (that's if I'm lucky, that RTA is usually booked out for weeks).

Jesus Walks

A couple of these Jesus statues were standing around near my work today. They've got "Jesus Walks" on the side of them (most likely the name of the collection of artwork). The front one is African, there's a grey one to the left and one far back that's all hippie like. I didnt have time to read the lil bits of info on the front of the statues, I might check em out on Thursday (and maybe take a better photo (this was late in the afternoon, lighting was not good for my crappy camera phone).

Work today. Kinda slept in...(takes me about an hour and 40mins to get to work (the other shop)), so I was about 15mins late (lucky it was only 15mins, I calculated it as 40mins).

Quite a few people travelling with luggages today at the city (I assume their all here for World Youth Day), saw a couple of groups waving the Spain flag. It's going to be packed next week when I go to work, should be fun,exciting and also tiring.

New Toy!

I bought a Munny Zipper Pull! I've got no idea why I bought it, actually no, I was looking for a "zipper pull" for my bag, 'cause my one had fallen off a while back. I was suppose to buy this fruity one, but when I saw the actual thing it didnt look as hot as I'd first thought. So I was browsing through and I saw this Munny zipper pull and I just bought it, but now I realise I dont want my lil Munny to be hidden under my bag flap, or to be used in such a way. Plus I need a new bag more than I do a zipper pull, my bag is falling apart a the seams, noo!

Back In The Day

That's Jenn's high school locker. You can see cans of baked beans in there (because you know every growing teenage girl needs her beans, right?)and other "nutritious" foods, totally hilarious. I was going through some old photos for Jenn's birthday blog dedication and I found that photo. LoL dont question what goes on in that girl's mind (you'll be more confused than you started, but that's why I like her, 'cause she doesnt make any sense, it's always fun). My locker is next to hers ^^ Though all I had in mine were school books, not as exciting...

Pft! Women Drivers!

I failed my practice (fake) driving test today...didnt feel so good... and my real one is NEXT week. I'm so doomed, seriously my driving skills have gotten worse than it has better. I recieved FOUR automatic fails today! that's 4 fails too many. I just wasnt thinking today (or the last couple of times I have been driving). I suck!

"Your head is going up his ass" -Hancock

I watched Hancock with my brother today. It was hilarious! Right from the get go. Everyone in the cinema were laughing their heads off, it was a good vibe. The action and special effects were good too. Definitely not your everyday superhero film (but then it also is your everyday superhero movie with a twist..hmmm..). I wont be technical(?) with you all because I dont know how (yes all those years of English classes and Film studies has taught me absolutely nothing) but I know what I like and I totally enjoyed this film (especially one particular scene involving two inmates ;)).

Nhi went NUTS over this PININ store. Spent over $200! I am awed. She's so lucky she's working @@ Get to spend like she just don't care. On the other hand, i went berserk over the TAMARKET store which sold anime figurines, toys and other merch! I spent far too much for my own good too ~~ Its so funny. She's crazy over designer toys and I'm head over heals for anime figurines! Check it out!

Oh did i mention I met SONIC in the flesh!? "Plush" flesh might I add. Ahh I wonder who was in there...Very big and it was so much fun! Here I'll show you:

***Sonic and Me!***

So on the first day of the convention, it was a set-up day. We arrived and the doors were locked from the outside. Not to mention there were rows of tinted glass doors that lined the entire one side of the building. Nhi pushed on each one, trying to pretend we didn't look like imbociles trying to get in. There were also people that were INSIDE and didn't help us. Thank you for watching us. Throughout the whole day we were packing thousands of showbags. Running out of items was common and one of us (we were in roughly groups of 6 or so) would run and steal more stuff off other people's tables and showbags, Lol. It was pointless anyhow. I mean in the end the bags would all be put together. Not like we were gonna get trophies for packing the most bags or having the best bags. It was a mental problem. It wasn't rational at all. But it was funny! I had my lesson of show-bagging O_o. And then the organiser came up and asked for two people that could come and help out the "screening" room. Nhi and I both shot up and asked if we could. We got the job! ;)

That night was a preview night and we were escorting "patrons" to the proper seats, telling people to stay away from the exits, keep the "emergency path" clear and generally baby sitting people and yelling at them to go to the ground floor bathroom rather than the second floor bathroom. Nhi greeted the guests at the mouth of the stairs and I guided them to their seats answering any questions they had i.e. "where's the starwars screening going to show?" or "whats happening up here?" or "wheres the toilets?" and the oh too common "can i have one of them guides?". That was a question that constantly popped up for me. They all wanted a peice of my guide. So i told them to hold on and that I'd try to get them some. I knew there were some left at the show-bagging area and asked if Nhi could run down and get a few.She did better; she brought a whole STACK! Go on ya girl!

Started giving them out to the people that asked me for them before. I was rather overwhelmed by the people asking for directions and other questions. Some were friendly and chit-chatted to me about anime and what they love and heaps of other stuff! Its really easy to get along with people who love what you love :) No matter how old they are. Then the screening ended too soon. It was one of the best shifts! Even though we repeated the same stuff over the next few days, the best was this first day ^^=b

Then the second day came...

Woke up at 5:55am and started to get ready for Nhi to come and pick me up via taxi at 6:30am. It was soooooooo COLD! And soooooooo dark! Ergh, if it wasn't for the fact that Nhi was going to be there, i wouldn't have had the will to get up. Thanks Nhi :)

I'm back from my interview at William Blue, and the place has changed since I went to check it out last year (?). Interview went fine..I think. I had to bring my HSC certificate becuase I didnt add it to my application (mainly because I had no idea where it was at the time and my results were so crap) the head of College totally laughed at my appalling math results, she was like "didnt do so well in maths eh?" I'm glad she laughed, it would have been so much more embarrassing if she didnt say anything. Anyways she said I was accepted into the college, so that's good to hear, just waiting on the "acceptance letter" now.

A while back I was wondering, why does Elmo and Grover have their own show but Bert and Ernie dont? it's not fair, I would totally watch it if they had thier own show. and what would you know? I switch the tv on this morning and "The Adverntures Bert and Ernie" was playing! Omgosh! So excited. (LoL i'm pathetic, I know oh too well) they were clay figures though, which is a lil disappointing, but the show was still funny as heck. I sat in the lounge room by myself laughing, it was so funny. Bert and Ernie were inventors today, they built a robot that would follow their every command.
